Norwegian court orders release of Crown Princess Mette-Marit's son, but prosecution appeals
A Norwegian court has ordered the release of Marius Borg Höiby, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, but prosecutors have appealed the decision, keeping him in custody until an appeals court rules. Höiby had requested release from detention last week, citing his 52-year-old mother's health condition. Crown Princess Mette-Marit was diagnosed with a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis in 2018, a progressive lung disease that causes scarring of lung tissue. Höiby will remain in custody pending the appeals court's decision on the prosecution's challenge to his release.
