Slovak state funds removal of 60 tons of illegal waste from Ďurkov village
The Slovak government has approved funding of 46,000 euros to support a project aimed at removing 60 tons of illegally dumped waste from the village of Ďurkov. The cleanup initiative addresses environmental contamination in the eastern Slovak municipality, which has struggled with unauthorized waste disposal. The state funding demonstrates government efforts to tackle illegal dumping, a persistent problem affecting rural communities across Slovakia where inadequate waste management infrastructure often leads to environmental degradation.
