Slovak Parents to Learn Kindergarten Admission Results Wednesday, a Week Early

Parents in Slovakia will find out whether their children have been accepted into kindergartens on Wednesday, a week ahead of the originally scheduled announcement date of July 8. This year, parents submitted applications for 49,935 children to kindergartens across the country. On average, each application listed 1.52 kindergartens as preferences, and 78 percent of all applications were submitted electronically. The earlier release of results gives families more time to make childcare arrangements ahead of the new school year.
