Slovak Psychologist Advises Against Salary Increases Based on Personal Life Events

Share:

Lukáš Bakoš, a Slovak psychologist and business manager, has argued that personal circumstances such as having a child or feeling one has worked sufficiently hard do not justify salary increases. Bakoš, who heads the consulting firm Maxman Consultants where employee salaries are transparent, shared his views on workplace compensation in an interview for the Tridsiatnik podcast. The psychologist and university lecturer explained his approach to determining appropriate salary levels, emphasizing that compensation should be based on professional performance rather than personal life changes or subjective feelings about effort.
