European Union agriculture ministers met in Brussels to address concerns over fertilizer prices and availability affecting farmers across the bloc. Slovakia was represented at the discussions by State Secretary Vavríková from the Ministry of Agriculture. The European Commission presented an action plan that includes targeted emergency financial support worth approximately 400 million euros for European farmers struggling with high fertilizer costs. The meeting reflects growing concerns about agricultural input costs that have been affecting farming operations and food security across EU member states.
