Water quality tests conducted by the town of Pezinok have revealed that most forest wells in the area contain dangerous levels of arsenic and bacteria, making them unsafe for drinking. Pezinok, located in the Bratislava region about 20 kilometers northeast of the capital, discovered the contamination through routine water analysis of natural water sources used by hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The findings highlight potential health risks for people who rely on these traditional water sources during recreational activities in the forested areas surrounding the town.
