Hungary Joins Search for BMW Driver Who Killed Cyclist Near Bratislava

Share:

Hungarian authorities have joined the search for the driver of a BMW who killed a cyclist in Čunovo, a village on the outskirts of Bratislava near the Hungarian border, after the vehicle was found abandoned near the Hungarian town of Rajka. The suspect fled the scene following the fatal collision, crossing into Hungary, prompting a cross-border manhunt involving both Slovak and Hungarian police. Čunovo, situated at the southern tip of Bratislava along the Danube, lies just kilometers from the Slovak-Hungarian border, making it relatively straightforward for a suspect to quickly cross into neighboring territory. The involvement of Hungarian authorities underscores the urgency of the case, as the driver remains at large following the cyclist's death.
