Share:

A Slovak humanitarian worker operating in Kyiv has returned to the Ukrainian capital after a two-week vacation in Bratislava. Writing about her experience, she described returning to Bratislava after the harsh winter and relentless pace of life in Kyiv as feeling like an embrace, comparing it to Sunday chicken soup at her grandmother's house in the countryside. The worker reflected on the contrast between the comfort of home and the demanding conditions of humanitarian work in wartime Ukraine, noting that one of the most difficult aspects of humanitarian work is coping with situations where you cannot do anything to help.
