Slovak handball team drawn with Germany, Italy and Belgium in qualifiers

Slovakia's national handball team was placed in a qualifying group alongside Germany, Italy, and Belgium following the draw for European Championship qualifications. The Slovak team was seeded in the fourth and lowest-ranked pot based on performance rankings. The draw divided 32 teams into eight four-team qualifying groups for the upcoming European Championship tournament.
