Germany and UK to Deepen Cooperation on Critical Minerals Supply

Germany and the United Kingdom will strengthen their collaboration on securing supplies of critical minerals, according to a German minister. While both countries produce rare earth elements domestically, they cannot match China's output levels, making cooperation essential for ensuring adequate supplies and building strategic reserves. The partnership aims to reduce dependence on Chinese mineral exports, which dominate the global market for materials crucial to technology manufacturing and green energy transitions.
