Slovak PM Warns of World War III Risk After Romanian Drone Explosion

Share:

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed solidarity with Romania following a military drone explosion at the Black Sea port of Constanta on Friday. Speaking at a press briefing during the EU-Western Balkans summit in Montenegro, Fico issued a stark warning that such incidents involving stray military equipment could realistically trigger a third world war. He emphasized that if such a drone were to strike a residential building in a NATO or European Union member state and cause casualties, the consequences could be catastrophic. The warning comes amid heightened tensions in the region as the war in Ukraine continues, with concerns about military equipment straying beyond conflict zones and potentially affecting neighboring countries.
