Slovakia's Support Services for Women Fall Short of Council of Europe Standards

Share:

Slovakia's capacity to provide support services for women experiencing violence falls significantly below Council of Europe recommendations, according to the Coordination and Methodological Centre for Prevention of Violence Against Women. The centre highlighted the substantial gap between current service availability and international standards for supporting women victims of violence. The Ministry of Labour responded that it annually supports facilities providing assistance to women and their children through grants aimed at promoting gender equality and equal opportunities.
