Half of Slovaks Have Never Visited a Dental Hygienist, Study Reveals

Half of Slovakia's population has never undergone professional dental hygiene treatment, according to new findings that highlight a significant gap in preventive healthcare. The majority of Slovaks continue to underestimate the importance of regular dental hygiene visits, despite growing health risks associated with poor oral care. The findings emerged as part of an Oral-B project designed to motivate better prevention practices among the Slovak population. Poor dental hygiene has been linked to various health complications beyond oral health, including cardiovascular disease and diabetes, making the lack of preventive care a broader public health concern.
