Opposition Party Leads in Hungarian Polls Ten Days Before Elections

Share:

The opposition TISZA party, which currently holds no seats in parliament, has taken the lead in Hungarian opinion polls just ten days before the country's elections. The survey results indicate that more Hungarians are anticipating a change of government rather than a continuation of Fidesz rule. TISZA's rise represents a significant shift in Hungary's political landscape, as the party has managed to overtake the long-dominant Fidesz party of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, which has governed Hungary since 2010 and consolidated significant control over the country's institutions and media.
