Only 11 percent of Slovak households actively invest their money, according to new data highlighting the exclusive nature of investment activity in the country. A narrow group of university-educated individuals with savings above 15,000 euros and existing mortgages controls half of all active investments in Slovakia. The data shows that Slovaks have indirectly participated in the artificial intelligence investment boom through mutual funds and pension savings. While Slovak households have historically favored bank deposits and have gradually increased their investment activity in recent years, investing remains concentrated among a highly educated elite with substantial financial resources.
