Slovak Rail Operator Italo Signs Contract with Siemens Mobility for 26 High-Speed Trains

Slovak railway company Italo has signed a contract with German manufacturer Siemens Mobility to purchase 26 new trains. The rolling stock will be of the Siemens Velaro Multi System type, a high-speed train family closely related in design and appearance to the well-known ICE-3 and ICE-3 Neo trains that operate on Germany's intercity rail network. The Velaro platform is one of Europe's leading high-speed rail technologies, used by operators across the continent.
