The president, who won the election amid allegations of multiple irregularities, now appears surprised by scrutiny over campaign practices involving online influencers. Pellegrini, a former prime minister from the social-democratic Smer-SD party, defeated liberal candidate Ivan Korčok in the April 2024 presidential runoff.
