One of the largest religious gatherings in Central Europe, the Levoča Pilgrimage to Marian Hill (Mariánska hora), reaches its culmination on Sunday. The hilltop site near the historic Slovak town of Levoča, in eastern Slovakia, draws hundreds of thousands of Catholic pilgrims each year. This year's program includes Roman Catholic masses, Greek Catholic liturgies, rosary prayers, Stations of the Cross, adoration, and additional spiritual events. The Levoča Pilgrimage has centuries-old traditions and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, making it a significant annual event in Slovak religious and cultural life.
