Many Homeless People Unaware of Postal Delivery System Available to Them
Share:
Slovakia's public ombudsman has raised concerns about a significant gap in awareness among homeless people regarding an existing postal service system designed to help them receive official correspondence. The ombudsman, an independent constitutional official who investigates complaints about public authorities and advocates for citizens' rights, warned that the lack of awareness carries serious social consequences. Without access to official mail, homeless individuals risk missing critical government communications, including those related to social benefits, legal proceedings, or administrative deadlines — potentially deepening their social exclusion and making it harder to reintegrate into society.
