Tisza Party opposes Szijjártó for Hungarian parliament deputy speaker position

The Tisza Party announced it will not support Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó for the position of deputy speaker of Hungary's parliament. Fidesz, Hungary's ruling party led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, has not yet officially announced its candidate for the deputy speaker role. The Tisza Party, led by Péter Magyar, emerged as the main opposition force in Hungary following the 2024 European Parliament elections and has positioned itself as a challenger to Orbán's government.
