Poprad Mayor Dismisses Vietnamese Tourism Prospects for Tatra Mountains

Share:

Poprad Mayor František Rattaj has dismissed the possibility of Vietnamese tourism in the High Tatra Mountains, citing the country's socialist system and weak purchasing power. His comments appear to respond to speculation about developing tourism ties with Vietnam. Poprad serves as a gateway city to Slovakia's premier mountain resort region, the High Tatras, which attracts visitors primarily from Central Europe and neighboring countries. The mayor's assessment suggests municipal authorities see limited potential for expanding tourism markets to Southeast Asia, at least regarding Vietnamese visitors.
