Bratislava Region Social Care Workers Complete Basal Stimulation Training

Share:

Twenty-seven employees of social care facilities operated by the Bratislava Self-Governing Region have completed a professional training course in basal stimulation, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the therapeutic approach. Basal stimulation is a care concept designed to support communication, sensory perception, and motor abilities in individuals with severe physical or cognitive impairments, and is widely used in nursing and social care settings across Europe. The Bratislava Self-Governing Region, which oversees a network of social services facilities in and around Slovakia's capital, funded the training as part of efforts to improve the quality of care provided to vulnerable residents. The newly acquired skills are expected to help care workers better engage with clients who have limited ability to communicate or move independently.
