Ukraine to Request $20 Billion from Allies for Military Spending

Ukraine plans to present a massive financial request of $20 billion to its allies at an upcoming meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein format. The financial injection is intended to cover urgent military expenditures as the war continues. Ukrainian representatives will present the request next Thursday at the meeting of the international coalition that coordinates military aid to Ukraine. The Ramstein format, named after the U.S. air base in Germany where initial meetings were held, brings together dozens of countries to coordinate weapons deliveries and military support for Ukraine's defense against Russia's invasion.
