Romanian President Condemns Russia's 'Irresponsible Actions' After Drone Crash

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis condemned what he called Russia's irresponsible actions following the crash of a drone on Romanian territory. The incident prompted Iohannis to call for accelerated modernization of Romania's military forces to ensure the country can adequately respond to current security threats. Romania, a NATO member state that borders Ukraine, has experienced several instances of drone incursions and debris from the ongoing conflict landing on its territory since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.
