Azerbaijan Reopens Iran Border After Drone Attack on Nakhchivan

Share:

Azerbaijan has reopened its border with Iran for cargo transport following a drone attack in the Nakhchivan region. The autonomous exclave of Nakhchivan, which is geographically separated from mainland Azerbaijan and borders both Iran and Armenia, was targeted in the drone strike that had prompted the border closure. The reopening of the crossing point is considered strategically significant as it serves as a crucial link in the transport corridor connecting Tehran and Moscow, facilitating trade and transit between Iran and Russia through Azerbaijani territory.
