Firefighters Attacked with Stones During Emergency Response in Eastern Slovakia

Firefighters responding to an emergency call near the settlement of Lipany in eastern Slovakia came under attack from stone-throwing assailants who also damaged their equipment. Four firefighters with one piece of emergency equipment were deployed to handle the original incident, but encountered hostility during their response. While the attackers caused damage to firefighting equipment, no injuries to the emergency responders were reported. The incident highlights ongoing tensions in some Slovak communities where emergency services face hostility while performing their duties.
