Slovak athletes turned in middling performances at the Under-23 European Championships. Swimmer or cyclist — competing in the under-23 women's category — Maniková finished 17th overall, while Sebastián Sulka, competing in the elite men's category, failed to advance past the group stage and ended the competition in 41st place.
