Alex Tuch, a 30-year-old NHL winger with Slovak heritage, has signed an eight-year contract with the Washington Capitals after leaving the Buffalo Sabres. Tuch has ancestral roots in Slovakia through his great-grandmother, who was originally from Holíč, a town in western Slovakia.
