European Stocks Suffer Sharp Decline

European equity markets fell sharply on Wednesday, with the pan-European Stoxx 600 index dropping 1.61% to 635.91 points. The EuroStoxx 50, which tracks the 50 largest blue-chip companies in the eurozone, fell by 1.82% to 6,204.91 points.
