Poprad Man Caught Drink-Driving Despite License Ban Until 2028

A young man from Poprad, a town in northern Slovakia, has been charged with two criminal offenses after police caught him driving while banned and heavily intoxicated. The driver, whose license had been revoked until 2028, recorded a blood alcohol level exceeding 1.6 per mille — more than three times the legal limit of 0.5 per mille in Slovakia. Police filed criminal charges against him on both counts: driving under the influence and operating a vehicle in defiance of an active court-imposed ban.
