Slovakia proposes eight acceleration zones for wind energy development
Share:
Slovakia's Ministry of Economy has proposed establishing eight acceleration zones for wind energy development across the country. The largest proposed zone would cover the Podhájska-Dvory nad Žitavou area in the Nové Zámky district. The proposal still requires government approval before moving forward. Once approved, environmental impact assessments would be conducted for each location, though this phase would only proceed if specific investors express interest in developing wind energy projects in those areas. The acceleration zones represent Slovakia's effort to expand renewable energy infrastructure and meet European Union climate targets.
