Kazakhstan Confirms Production of Armored Vehicles in Partnership with South Africa

Kazakhstan has confirmed it will produce Barys 6×6 armored vehicles through a collaboration with South Africa. The Central Asian nation aims to reduce its military's dependence on foreign suppliers through this domestic production initiative. Kazakhstan has become the only country in post-Soviet Central Asia to implement a complete technology transfer program for MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) class armored vehicles, marking a significant step in developing its defense manufacturing capabilities.
