Forest Fire Near Modra Requires 35 Firefighters and 93,000 Litres of Water

A forest fire broke out near Modra, a town located in the Small Carpathians region west of Bratislava, requiring a significant firefighting response to bring under control. Thirty-five firefighters were deployed to battle the blaze, consuming more than 93,000 litres of water in the effort to extinguish the fire. The scale of the operation highlights the challenges posed by forest fires in the hilly terrain surrounding the Slovak capital, where dry conditions can rapidly spread flames through woodland areas.
