Slovak canoeist Baláž finishes seventh in European Championships K1 1000m final

Slovak canoeist Baláž placed seventh in the A-final of the men's K1 1000-meter kayak race at the European Championships. In the women's competition, Romana Švecová competed in the B-final of the same distance and finished fourth, trailing Czech winner Barbora Betlachová by 5.265 seconds.
