Israel Strikes Hezbollah Stronghold in Beirut After Evacuation Warning

Israel launched strikes against targets in Beirut linked to Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group that controls much of southern Lebanon and parts of the capital. The Israeli military had previously warned residents to evacuate Beirut's southern suburbs, known as Dahiyeh, before conducting the attack on what it described as Hezbollah-related targets. The strikes represent the latest escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which has intensified since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and subsequent war in Gaza.
