Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok has refused to provide explanations about his party Hlas renting vehicles from an individual connected to ambulance service tenders. The minister dismissed requests for clarification from SME newspaper, stating his party is not obligated to respond to media inquiries. The controversy involves potential conflicts of interest between Hlas-SD, the centrist party that is part of Slovakia's ruling coalition led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, and business dealings related to public procurement processes for emergency medical services.
