The minister dismissed requests for clarification from SME newspaper, stating his party is not obligated to respond to media inquiries. The controversy involves potential conflicts of interest between Hlas-SD, the centrist party that is part of Slovakia's ruling coalition led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, and business dealings related to public procurement processes for emergency medical services.
