A 21-year-old Polish man died after falling in the High Tatras mountains in Slovakia, in the area below Kohútik peak. A rescue helicopter was dispatched to recover his remains from the mountain terrain. The High Tatras, located in northern Slovakia along the Polish border, are a popular destination for hikers and climbers but are also known for treacherous terrain that claims lives each year. Mountain rescue operations in the region are carried out by the Mountain Rescue Service, which regularly responds to accidents involving both Slovak and foreign visitors.
