The family of a young Slovak boy named Vilko is halfway toward their fundraising goal to save his life, having collected €1.8 million so far. Vilko's cells have been prepared and are ready for laboratory testing as part of the development of a personalized treatment. His father has again taken to traveling across Slovakia to raise awareness and funds for the campaign. Despite the progress, the family remains far from the total amount needed to complete the treatment, and the effort to save the boy continues.
