Apple temporarily displaced Nvidia as the world's most valuable publicly traded company, after Nvidia's stock fell by as much as four percent. The shift in market capitalization rankings was brief, reflecting ongoing volatility among the world's largest technology firms. Nvidia had risen to the top of global market valuations on the back of surging demand for its artificial intelligence chips, but the dip in its share price allowed Apple, the iPhone and Mac maker, to reclaim the top position, at least momentarily.
