Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) admitted responsibility for rocket and drone attacks on Saturday that damaged aluminum production facilities operated by Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA) and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA). The IRGC, Iran's elite military force that reports directly to the country's supreme leader, acknowledged conducting the strikes against the industrial targets in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. The attacks represent an escalation in regional tensions, with Iran targeting civilian industrial infrastructure in Gulf Arab states that maintain close ties with the United States and have normalized relations with Israel.
