Slovak Psychologist Shares Personal Experience of Parental Rejection and Emotional Processing

Slovak psychologist Ivan Vyskočil has opened up about experiencing rejection from his own children, describing feelings of helplessness, pain and inadequacy during difficult periods in their relationship. Speaking on the podcast "Fathers in Diapers," Vyskočil discussed how he used a therapeutic technique called "flash therapy" to process these painful emotions. He explained that this method allows people to work through traumatic experiences without having to actively think about them. The psychologist emphasized that persistence during the challenging period with his daughter ultimately helped preserve their relationship, suggesting that not giving up during times of parental rejection can lead to eventual reconciliation.
