Czech President Zeman Visits Košice, Accompanied by Governor Schuster

Czech President Miloš Zeman visited the eastern Slovak city of Košice, accompanied by Košice Region Governor Rastislav Trnka. The morning program included a visit to the Šugov Hammer historical site in the nearby town of Medzev. The visit represents continued diplomatic engagement between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, the two countries that peacefully separated in 1993 but maintain close political and economic ties as neighboring EU and NATO members.
