Over Half of Lebanon's Population Depends on Aid, EU Commissioner Says

More than half of Lebanon's population now relies on humanitarian assistance, according to a European Commissioner. The European Union has provided 100 million euros in aid to Lebanon and deployed six aircraft carrying humanitarian supplies to the country. Lebanon has been facing a severe economic and political crisis that has left much of its population in need of external support, prompting international donors to increase their assistance efforts.
