Slovak Healthcare Facilities Face Financial Collapse Amid Communication Breakdown with Authorities

Share:

Healthcare facilities under the state-owned Faculty Hospital network (FPU) are on the verge of financial collapse, with administrators reporting they were aware of the critical situation before recent high-level meetings. Healthcare managers say they see no logic in current auditing procedures and complain that authorities are not communicating with them about the controls being conducted. The facilities had already undergone previous audits, making the current round of inspections appear redundant to those running the institutions. The reference to meetings with Malatinec suggests recent discussions between healthcare administrators and Deputy Health Minister Kamil Šaško's deputy Malatinec regarding the crisis, though the communication issues persist despite these talks.
