Hungarian Opposition Party TISZA Gains Ground Against Orbán's Fidesz Ahead of April Elections

Hungary's opposition TISZA party has strengthened its position alongside the ruling Fidesz party, according to a new poll conducted one month before the country's parliamentary elections scheduled for April 12. The survey by 21 Kutatóközpont shows both parties gaining support as the campaign intensifies. The polling suggests that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's Fidesz party, which has governed Hungary since 2010, faces a more competitive electoral landscape than in previous contests. TISZA, led by Péter Magyar, emerged as a significant opposition force after breaking away from Fidesz earlier in the political cycle and has positioned itself as a pro-European alternative to Orbán's increasingly authoritarian rule.
