France has banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering the country following his actions against pro-Palestinian humanitarian activists. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced the entry ban on social media platform X, calling it a direct consequence of Ben-Gvir's "unjustifiable behavior" toward crews of the pro-Palestinian humanitarian flotilla Global Sumud. Barrot also called on the European Union to impose sanctions on the Israeli minister. Ben-Gvir, a far-right politician in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government, has been a controversial figure known for his hardline positions on Palestinian issues and has previously faced international criticism for his policies and statements regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
