Slovak citizen Dáša Raimanová has returned home to Britain after being detained and deported by Israeli naval forces while participating in a pro-Palestinian flotilla attempting to reach the Gaza Strip. Raimanová was among activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla initiative who were intercepted by the Israeli military navy. Upon her return, she reported that more than 9,400 Palestinian political prisoners and other detainees remain in Israeli custody, including approximately 360 children and 87 women. The flotilla was part of international efforts to show solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza amid ongoing restrictions on access to the territory.
