Slovak and Czech experts propose improved integration for foreign children in schools

Share:

Experts from Slovakia and the Czech Republic have proposed measures to improve the integration of foreign children into the education system. The number of foreign pupils in Slovak elementary schools has increased dramatically since the start of the war in Ukraine, rising from approximately 900 students in the 2021/2022 school year to around 4,700 students in the current 2024/2025 academic year. This five-fold increase has prompted educational specialists from both countries to develop recommendations for better incorporating these children into the school system, though specific details of the proposed measures were not disclosed.
