Russian Drones Repeatedly Fly Over Chernobyl, Ukrainian President Warns

The Chernobyl nuclear power plant was the site of the world's worst nuclear accident on April 26, 1986, when a reactor explosion and fire released radioactive materials across much of Europe. The plant, located in northern Ukraine near the Belarus border, was captured by Russian forces early in the 2022 invasion and has remained a flashpoint for concerns about nuclear safety during the war.
