A resident in eastern Slovakia was unable to return home for an entire day after automobile races blocked access to his village following a night shift. The man could not reach his home until evening due to the road closures caused by the racing event. Frustrated by the situation, he filed a complaint with the Slovak ombudsman's office to investigate the matter. The case highlights tensions between sporting events and residents' basic mobility rights in smaller communities.
